SGP glass is made by laminating and fusing two or multiple layers of tempered glass
and SentryGlas® interlayers together, which makes the glass much stronger and more rigid than conventional
laminated materials, creating safety glass that protects against storms, impacts, and blasts.
Half-tempered glass
It is called heat strengthened glass,or semi-tempered glass.
is similar to tempered glass except that the cooling is done at a much slower pace. Annealed glass is heated to approximately 650-700 º C, but the cooling process is slower than that for tempered glass. Heat strengthened glass is about twice as strong as annealed glass of the same size and thickness.
Heat-strengthened glass provides necessary resistance to thermal stress associated with high performance .it is far less susceptible to spontaneous breakage or anti-self explousion
Heat-strengthened glass with its flatter surface also results in the facade having less optical distortions.
The picture of different breakage indicates the difference between tempred glass and heat sthrengthed glaas as below.
Advanced Features of Heat SGP Glass
1) High strength: SentryGlas® interlayers are five times stronger and up to 100 times stiffer than normal laminating materials.
2) Anti water permeation and salt permeation (specially in sea coastal area),to keep the glass panels tightly and never delaminated.
3) Great weather resistance:SGP glass where the laminate can be exposed to the weather and it does not need to be framed.
4) Safety: The SGP glass retains its character and maintains a residual barrier, even after the glass is broken.(see left-most panel, testing picture below)
5) Most strong against the impact: SGP lass is hurricane and cyclone impact resistant
6) It is far less susceptible to spontaneous breakage or anti-self explousion
